Children are a Blessing!

We are out for Thanksgiving break; therfore, my kids (ages 5 and 8) are home with me. They play well together. I'm blessed to hear them laugh and act silly around the house. I had my first child at 30, so some say I'm a late starter. But I can't imagine living life without having my children regardless as to how carefree life once appeared. There was a void before my children arrived, and I called it loneliness. So now when I say I'm lonely because the kids are asleep or gone to their granny and the house is too quiet, I know I'm blessed that this loneliness is temporary. Sometimes, I think I center too much around the children because they are my LIFE. They are really why I go to work, go grocery shopping, attend church, buy movies, clean house, cook, and all my daily duties. So Lord I thank you for my children. Teach me to be a better mother. Teach me to HUG more and not complaint as much. Teach me to laugh more so they will know that laughter is medicine to the soul. Teach me to act silly like them and not to always act as a teacher, although it's what I am. Here is a letter D wrote me so I would let her play with some of her toys .

Dear mom,
Please, please, please mom let me get some toys out of the storage room. I really need them to suced my dream to be a teacher just like you so I can have a good life just like you and I want to be you!!! So sign here ____________________ Dee
