We are out for Thanksgiving break; therfore, my kids (ages 5 and 8) are home with me. They play well together. I'm blessed to hear them laugh and act silly around the house. I had my first child at 30, so some say I'm a late starter. But I can't imagine living life without having my children regardless as to how carefree life once appeared. There was a void before my children arrived, and I called it loneliness. So now when I say I'm lonely because the kids are asleep or gone to their granny and the house is too quiet, I know I'm blessed that this loneliness is temporary. Sometimes, I think I center too much around the children because they are my LIFE. They are really why I go to work, go grocery shopping, attend church, buy movies, clean house, cook, and all my daily duties. So Lord I thank you for my children. Teach me to be a better mother. Teach me to HUG more and not complaint as much. Teach me to laugh more so they will know that laughter is medicine to the soul. Teach me to act silly like them and not to always act as a teacher, although it's what I am. Here is a letter D wrote me so I would let her play with some of her toys .
Dear mom,
Please, please, please mom let me get some toys out of the storage room. I really need them to suced my dream to be a teacher just like you so I can have a good life just like you and I want to be you!!! So sign here ____________________ Dee

Beyonce, The Energizer Bunny

Beyonce did it again. At first I kept saying looks like she's gained weight, but as I watched in between showering and fixing snacks, she appeared thinner in certain outfits. I think I counted seven different outfits. My favorite one was the bronze spandex bodysuit with the jewel buttocks and neckline. Overall, I was tired for her. It was a very long concert. I don't know how she kept going song after song. My old time favorite was "Me, Myself and I". I didn't know if the song she sang towards the end was for her fans or for someone in particular (the one she shed a tear on). What is the name of that cute dancer who dances with her on "Upgrade you"? And where is he from? He is the best. I loved his performance in the video as well. Of course "Irreplaceable" was saved for the end, and why not. It is one of my motto's to live by "You must don't know bout me, I can have another you in a minute". Keep on keeping on Bee and continue to set trends.
Thanksgiving: An Attitude of Gratitude
Lord, thank you for another day filled with food, shelter, health, and strength. Thank you for my family, everyone is fine. Thank you for peace and ridding my life of unorganized noise and drama. Too many times, I try to fix others when it's not my job, but yours. Too many times, I try to be a shero and solve all of my problems when all I have to do is call upon you. Too many times, I don't appreciate silence because I'm so accustomed to being a busy body, either meddling in others mess or messing up my mess. It is through this silence that I reflect on what I use to do and how you delivered me in spite of my disobedience. Silence is golden. Lord, I thank you because I realize that my life is Golden, and that you are always in control (weeding out the bad to construct a better me). This better me is not for men to say that I'm a wonderful person, but that I may give you all the glory for doing great things in my life.
